Shawn’s passion for construction was instilled in him from a young age, having grown up in a construction family in Kentucky. After attending college and gaining extensive experience in the executive arena, he was drawn back to the industry, this time with a focus on clean-tech.
With a deep understanding of construction practices and a keen eye for innovation, Shawn quickly saw an opportunity to bring automation and efficiency to the Home Improvement Contracting and Tenant Improvement field. Thus, Sivtec Smart Construction was born.

2014
After the sale of the company in 2014, Shawn was in high demand both in the US and abroad consulting clean tech and clean construction firms.
2015
In 2015, his team developed several soft tools and models for automating the process of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
2016
By early 2016, they had proven out the first automated and profitable model for the clean energy construction process. It was through this model, and during the decay of the clean tech industry worldwide, a lateral move was in the works.
2017
Shawn made the decision to come back to his roots of construction with a new and innovative construction-tech platform that would give property owners, architects, and subcontractors a marketplace in which all can function with transparency and efficiency.
2018
In 2018, Sivtec Smart Construction was launched not only as a pure-play construction-tech company but also as a licensed general contractor. This has allowed Sivtec to prove the concept of delivery and function in the field. Sivtec, though classified as construction-tech, is indeed a general construction company at its core.
2019
2019/2020 has allowed Sivtec to operate our model and prove out our assumptions, delivering the best possible outcome to our three marketplace pillars; Architects, Property Owners, and Sub Contractors. All of this would be without value if not for direct caring service to all those involved. Sivtec is not a company without them.
